Since November we have completed last years garden harvest and began this years garden planting. This was disrupted by a severe hail storm that decimated our garden as well as houses and vehicles. Thus far our insurance company has been very helpful. I hope that continues.
Classes last semester (fall '10) went well. I believe I only received one “B” out of all classes, the remainder "A's". As for the following semester (spring '11), the same holds true. I am really enjoying my studies. Johnson has some great professors and some extraordinary students that will be head turners in their fields.
Courtney has just completed her Masters in nursing. She will soon be a licensed Family Nurse Practioner. I am so proud of her! I believe she will finish with a 4.0 GPA. The girl is a genius and hot!
Molly and Wyatt are finishing school now as well. They are both working, Molly at Chick-Fil-A and Wyatt for our neighbor. They seem to be enjoying TN life much more now than this time last year. I believe we are all adjusting very well at this point.
Now that summer is here things are getting even busier. We have lots of repairs to make to the house from the storm damage. All the windows on the west side of the house need to be replaced as well as the siding. The hail shredded the west side of the house. As for the roof, it, much like Courtney’s car, looks like a golf ball. I am not
sure it requires replacement but we will continue to monitor its effectiveness as a good roof. As stated earlier, we have replanted the garden and are seeing significant growth. We are hopeful for a good growing season as we have more than doubled last year’s efforts. My summer is packed. I will be doing one of the two internships I have to complete for school. There will be more about this at the end of the summer so keep checking back!
As stated in my last post, I will attempt to maintain this a little better, but you know where the road paved with good intentions leads…
